I am a landscape architecture graduate, PSU 09', and have been searching for work since we arrived. I'm hoping a lucky break will come soon!
The following are a few pictures I snapped of the sunset just the other day at the Olympic Sculpture park designed by Weiss/Manfredi. The park is a beautiful connection between city and waterfront, which overall, Seattle is largely lacking. (The design community knows this, and is/has been pushing hard to make a user-friendly waterfront a reality.) The design is a contemporary park with zig-zagging corners and edges, a rich planting palette, and wonderful sculpture - including Alexander Calder, Richard Serra, and Claes Oldenburg.
I can definitely see some summer picnics happening here -Vino included!
