Falling in Love: Seattle
My boyfriend Adam and I left two days after Christmas from our hometown in western Pennsylvania for a new adventure. Adam had accepted a job as an Intern Architect at The Miller Hull Partnership and would be starting in January. We moved into our studio apartment, located in the Belltown area of Seattle the day before New Years, and have been enjoying the city ever since.

I am a landscape architecture graduate, PSU 09', and have been searching for work since we arrived. I'm hoping a lucky break will come soon!
The following are a few pictures I snapped of the sunset just the other day at the Olympic Sculpture park designed by Weiss/Manfredi. The park is a beautiful connection between city and waterfront, which overall, Seattle is largely lacking. (The design community knows this, and is/has been pushing hard to make a user-friendly waterfront a reality.) The design is a contemporary park with zig-zagging corners and edges, a rich planting palette, and wonderful sculpture - including Alexander Calder, Richard Serra, and Claes Oldenburg.
I can definitely see some summer picnics happening here -Vino included!
